The Collaboration The Cambridge Satchel Co. is honoured to support the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London - home to The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet. Donations are made from each purchase made from within the collection. The products themselves are handmade in our workshops in the heart of England and the colours taken from the interior of this most special of spaces. The red is the official Royal Opera House red and epitomises the glamour and grandeur of this institution. Colour Inspiration A unique feature of this bag is the tartan on the front pocket. This tartan was produced with Harris Tweed specifically for The Royal Opera House. Harris Tweed is crafted by hand on treadle powered looms, without automation or electricity. All Harris Tweed is produced by crofters in the Scottish Outer Hebrides. Product Description The 15 Inch Batchel has all of the features of our beloved Satchel but with the added convenience of a top handle, allowing it to be carried much like a briefcase. This twist on the classic satchel is our invention and we're proud to say has become one of our most popular bags. This large version is particularly popular as a work bag for men (or for women with a substantial professional toolkit!). Generously proportioned but engineered to be always neat and never cumbersome - if only everything in life was designed so well. Key Features The great innovation of the Batchel is its trusty leather top handle, allowing you to carry it by hand or on the shoulder using its detachable and adjustable shoulder strap. This batchel is made from 100% leather by a team of expert makers who show their pride in their work by embossing our logo on the reverse and on its nickel hardware. Like our largest Satchel, the 15 Inch Batchel also closes with the traditional double buckle fastenings of the classic British school bag - an extra layer of security for a bag which carries so much. Your Batchel will come with its own dust bag to protect it during storage.
