The black anodised alloy rim has an external width of 28mm in order to provide support for tyres up to 47c wide, helping the sidewalls when cornering or hitting bumps on the trail. As it is tubeless-ready and supplied ready taped, it is easy to enjoy the benefits of tubeless running, with lower pressures meaning more grip and comfort along with fewer punctures. Sealed bearings keep the Vel RE hubs running smoothly with minimum maintenance and the freehub has a 102 tooth engagement ring for a near-instant drive; handy for accelerating out of corners and picking the front end up on technical climbs. High-quality Pillar Wing spokes offer a compliant and efficient ride, with easier truing and replacement, and appropriate spare spokes are provided. Crash replacement policy Crashes, unexpected accidents and falls can happen under normal riding conditions, therefore if your product has been registered within 3 months of purchase we will offer to replace it with an identical or equivalent product up to 40% off RRP within the first 3 years of ownership. This crash replacement policy only applies to the original owner. Limited warranty Vel wheels come with a two-year limited warranty for manufacturing or material defects that would appear during normal use, with the exception of wear and tear parts.
