Each shelf is cut to size and finished in our contemporary smooth style. Whilst this leaves flatter and smoother surfaces, we still like to leave in plenty of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Natures own stamp of approval. Despite the machining process to make the timber smooth and flat, being a natural product, solid wood can contain a variety of different features and characteristics. In the Smooth range, these features are less prominent than in our Rustic range but can still include waney edges, knots, splits, cracks and shakes, and some sanding marks. These are the qualities that set our shelving apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every shelf will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features it enhances their look and brings them to life.
