A.Lange & Söhne Datograph
Description
Established in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Germany, A Lange & Söhne helped German precision watchmaking become a force to be reckoned with. Ferdinand Adolph Lange was taught by the very best. After studying with Gutkaes in Dresden, he left to work and study in Paris, which at the time, was the centre of fine watchmaking. Working with the famous Austrian watchmaker Joseph Thaddeus Winnerl as his factory foreman, Lange completed his studies in astronomy and physics but it was watchmaking that caught his interest and he continued to refine his skills with famous Parisian teachers. Bringing new ideas and developments to watchmaking at the time, Lange flourished and so did the little town of Glashütte. Offering truly magnificent watch movements combined with precious metals and stunning aesthetics, A Lange & Söhne are timepieces to be admired.
