Archival terrace sneakers are right at the very core of adidas SPZL. Naturally, then, there’s bound to be a little crossover with the City Series, given how much of a favourite it is amongst casual culture. It’s the much-loved Malmo that gets the nod on this occasion, though there are some changes from the norm. The model’s yellow and blue palette, gum rubber sole and sports-derived T-toe all remain, though nylon mesh is used at the uppers — inspired by an ultra-rare version released in 1976 — and there are Mod Trefoils printed at both the heels and tongues.
