The Agapanthus ‘Twister’, also known as the African lily ‘Twister’ is very special as it is the first ever deciduous bicolour agapanthus. It’s attributes also live up to this merit, being truly hardy in the UK, living for more than two years and as a hardy perennial while also being an absolutely beautiful bloomer. Grow Agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well-drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing the agapanthus plant in a patio container use a soil based compost for the best results. From spring until the flowering period for the agapanthus, apply a liquid fertiliser monthly to the plant. St the end of September ease back on the feeding and watering of the plants in containers to toughen up the foliage. In colder areas, protecting the crown of the plant from frost with a dry mulch is recommended.
