(Gerda Weissmann Klein) This raspberry and leaf pin has a 2-tone sterling silver & 24k gold finish and translucent enamel. An old myth about raspberries originates in Germany and claims there are magical qualities of raspberries. It was believed that to tame a bewitched horse, one would have to tie a wild raspberry twig around the horse's body. The silver finish may tarnish and darken over time. To polish, add equal parts warm water and baking soda to create a paste. Smeared over the silver areas, avoiding the gold finish as much as possible. Leave on for one hour. After the hour is up, use a soft toothbrush to scrub. Rinse with clean water. Dry and buff using a soft cloth.
