Description
As part of Amplid’s Future Shapes collection, the Morning Glory utilises some of the most up-to-date thinking in snowboard design and technology to create a stunning surf-inspired freeride board that delivers an intoxicating ride in a wide variety of terrain and conditions. Built around a fully directional super tapered shape with an oversized nose, the Morning Glory’s powder credentials are clear to see. The nose is going to come up with zero effort, and in conjunction with the slightly wider riding platform, it’s just going to keep you on top of the snow even at slow speeds. With that aggressive taper and that short, nimble tail, the backs going to drop down and let you drive the board through turns, so even in trees, this thing is going to rip. However, this board isn’t just about powder; with its innovative Jeckyl and Hide geometry, the Morning Glory is a beast on the piste. You can properly lay it out through the turn, and it just sticks. So, If you’re after a whole new riding experience that’s just going to give you those same goosebumps you got about snowboarding when you first started, get yourself on one of these; it is going to blow you away.Flotation Tips Ultra-wide, low rising tips create lift in powder without sucking-up speed. They add a surfy feel to snowboards.Wide waist 26.4cm 30mm set back Taper 2.5cmDirectional cruise camber Mellow Camber- early RiseThis is the perfect camber-line for no-compromise, all-mountain inspired powder shredding. Subtle rocker in the tips generate lots of lift at low speeds and an out-of-this-world, weightless feel at speed. Underfoot camber transmits power at its bestCONSTRUCTIONLite Core with Hexo 2 HoneycombUber light wood varieties are cut, treated and aligned in a way only our factory knows. Its strength to weight ratio has scientists baffled. HeXO2 core replaces specific areas of weightier wood at the tips with featherlight recycled paper honeycomb, practically eliminating swing weight.Pre Cured Impact PlatesLasercut plates made of precured hardglass are milled out of the core and laid in below the mainlaminate. Prevents ugly binding dings.Thick Cut Thick Cut Cores have a thicker profile in the tip and tail for several reasons: This flex profile suits a larger variety of rider‘s bio specs, it reduces vibrations and increases stiffness where you need it. The reduced nose and tail deflection improves deep snow float, adds control and increases stability.Bi-ax glass 0°/90°Using Biaxial Glass in the construction of our shreds gives them a flawless blend of response and playfulness whilst keeping them ridiculously lightweight.Carbon Pop BandA narrow band of uni-directional carbon stringers run through the centreline of the snowboard from tip-to-tail, increasing pop and extending flex memory without altering torsional stiffness.Sintered 7 BaseAmplid’s ultra-high density sintered base goes like sh**-off-a-shovel in all snow conditions. It is extremely hard and therefore more resistant to damage.
