Details: It is difficult to imagine that this modern & stylish bench/occasional table was designed 60 years ago. The designers, John & Sylvia Reid, were employed by Stag Furniture from 1952 & this delightful piece was part of their pioneering Stag S Range of dining room furniture. This 2018 reissue of the Stag S range was beautifully reproduced to exacting standards by Nicholas Radford of Nathan Furniture & Dominic Reid, son of John & Sylvia. The iconic range was originally launched by Stag furniture in 1960 & was heralded by Design Magazine as one of the outstanding furniture ranges of the year. This unique low-level bench table comes with a removable black leather squab cushion, complete with a piped detail edge & anti-slip base. Designed to fit perfectly alongside the S-Range sideboards to create a larger ensemble, it also works well on its own as a free-standing low coffee table. The S251 has a modular teak veneer with black laminate front panel. It resonates the rest of the range with the distinctive V shaped brushed satin nickel metalwork legs. The V shaped, brushed nickel legs are design features that make this range so unique These fittings have been recreated & handcrafted from the original designs for the S-Range to ensure its complete authenticity with its originals.
