Description
Spode is an English Stoke-on-Trent based Pottery Company founded by Josiah Spode (1733-1797) in 1770. The Spode Byron pattern was registered with the British Patent Office on June 19th 1851. Registration number 79300. The tableware was first produced in the 1930's. The scenes which decorate Byron were chosen from the works of early 19th century artists. Each depicts the life of an earlier Rural England. Vivid Trellis border. Small relish/nut dish 5 1/ wide Overall in good vintage condition. Bowl has minor crazing & firing flaw on the base as shown in pictures.
