The directional A-Frame has long been a lynchpin of the Arbor line, known for its relentless edge hold and unparalleled stability at speed. The newly redesigned shape is built with a System Camber profile. The addition of Grip-Tech contact points underfoot and Uprise Fenders creates an unmatched carving machine, with an amazing ability to carve and charge through the chop at highest speed. Riding Style All-mountain/freeride for expert level riders - This aggressive board is perfect for experienced riders looking for a responsive deck for high-speed turns on the slopes and in the backcountry. This snowboard gives you the confidence and performance for expert level riding in every terrain. Shape The nose of the directional shape is slightly longer and wider than the tail. The bindings and the sidecut are slightly set back towards the tail. This increases stability at higher speeds and the float in powder. The 'Knucklehead' tip shape offers versatility from peak to parking lot with some extra punch for powder. Arbor's Grip Tech offers very good edge control, especially on icy slopes. The edges extend slightly beneath your bindings for an extremely good edge-hold on hard-pack. Full of power when you need it and playful when you don't. Profile The camber profile consists of only one positive preload from nose to tail. This classic profile offers high stability, good edge control and a lot of pop. The Uprise Fenders system pull the outside contact zones off the snow. This means that the edges at the contact points on Nose and Tail are angled upwards by 3°. This results in a playful feeling without catching an edge. Flex The stiff flex provides stability at high speeds and control while offering you a very responsive and precise feeling with loads of pop. Construction The Highland core is Arbor's premium wood core, made from a blend of poplar and paulownia for lightweight performance, durability and rebound. The top sheet is made from sustainably sourced ash wood and is called Ash Power Ply construction. The natural grain creates the style Arbor has been known for since they launched twenty years ago. This technology does not only look good but also improves the strength, durability, and return of a snowboard. The Mixed Glassing provides a Triax over Biax fibreglass lay-up that’s best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps and more. The 360 Rail is a fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability. The sintered base is an industry standard for quality base materials. A carbon fibre lay-up from the contact points to the inserts creates a structural a-frame for improved torsional performance in the steeps and at speed.
