Description
App controllable LED ceiling lamp Calipso - designed by Neil Poulton The unusual honeycomb structure of the shade of the LED ceiling lamp Calipso is based on a computer-processed image of the moon. The result is a design that inspires with its natural beauty and organic-looking irregularity. Calipso emits homogeneous light into the room and to all sides and is suitable for basic and area lighting in both private and public areas. The ceiling lamp Calipso can also be mounted as a wall lamp and thus provide an atmospheric additional lighting when switched on. Switched off, it serves as a decorative object on any wall. As another highlight, Calipso convinces with the possibility that it can be controlled using the Artemide app (available for iOS and Android). The app can control up to 500 individual devices and works via the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol. Retrieving pre-configured scenes or even creating your own becomes a breeze, as does adjusting the light. Those who want to create and operate more complex lighting concepts have the option to work cloud-based and create a multi-network via WLAN. Neil Poulton, who is behind the design of the Calipso ceiling light, was born in Scotland in 1963 and now lives and works in Paris. The multi-award-winning technology and lighting designer often works for the renowned lighting company Artemide, for whom he designed, among other things, the luminaire Veio, which won the "Menzione d'Onore Premio Compasso d'Oro 2011". - made in Italy
