Artemide Melampo table lamp
Description
Melampo table lamp with a variable lampshade position – design by Adrien Gardère The Italian manufacturer of high-quality designer lights, Artemide, founded in 1960 by Ernesto Gismondi and based near Milan, presents a modern and timeless source of accent lighting with the Melampo, by designer Adrien Gardère. Melampo’s frame consists of the zinc alloy zamak and aluminium, whilst the lampshade is made of silk satin. The latter surprises with its three different settings - standard position, pivoted by 30 degrees or standing on its head. The table lamp is an additional light source for living and sleeping quarters, which works well as a decorative item whether switched on and off, and due to its variability can always produce different lighting moods. - Awards: Observeur du Design Etoile 2001 A. P. C. I., Paris (France), 2001: Red Dot Design Award, Essen (Germany) Adrien Gardère works around the world, and besides lighting objects and furniture he also creates product designs and designs museums and exhibitions, such as for example the Musée du Louvre-Lens in France (2012) and the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo (2010).
