It consists of hot formed methacrylate, which takes the shape of an upward striving wave. The light of the bulbs placed between the coils is diffused and filtered into the surroundings, whereby the body itself is also effectively staged. Mezzachimera is a product of the Italian lighting manufacturer Artemide. The design of this special lamp comes from Vico Magistretti, an architect and designer born in Milan, who cooperated with important companies like Artemide, Fontana Arte, Oluce and others. His works can be seen in the permanent collection of the MOMA in New York and many other museums in America and Europe.
