The Pearl mattress is 25cm deep and upholstered in a resilient and attractive damask cover that benefits from a hand tufted finish for extra strength and durability. Hand tufting ensures its deep layers of upholstery are held firmly in place by passing tapes through the mattress and securing them on both sides with a cotton tuft. The interior of the mattress is made up of a robust 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, one of the firmest springs used in mattress manufacturing. Its an extremely hard wearing system that is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.. The mattress border is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This allows you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
