The Brain Dead x Asics Gel-Nimbus 9 “Nightshade” is a collaboration by the Los Angeles based clothing and lifestyle brand and Asics on a distinctly Y2K-style colorway of the retro sneaker. Brain Dead and Asics connect to bring a throwback, early 2000s look to the Gel-Nimbus 9 on the “Nightshade” colorway, and the release doesn’t fail to conjure nostalgic memories of sneaker aesthetics from that time period. The shoe features an industrial design with a mixture of colors, beginning with a shade of maroon on the mesh base and forest green on the leather overlays. Brain Dead’s signature branding appears on the sockliner while “Asics” detailing is seen throughout the design.
