Description
This top features a round neckline, asymmetrical shoulder straps, a rib design and a slim fit. All our organic cotton holds either a GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) or OCS (Organic Content Standard) certification. To earn a GOTS certificate the product must contain at least 95% organic cotton and for a OCS certificate the minimum is 50%. Regular cotton is a very resource-heavy material. With plants needing artificial irrigation and factories using a lot of water when dyeing and preparing the textiles - producing a normal t-shirt can end up using 2,500 litres of water. This is not the case with organic cotton. Using mostly rain water, no toxins and a more sustainable process, Textile Exchange states that organic cotton cuts the water need with up to 90%. It also saves the ecosystem and soil around the farms. All our recycled polyester meets the GRS (Global Recycle Standard) of minimum 20% recycled fibers. At NA-KD we aim to reach at least 25%. Made from plastic production leftovers, PET plastic bottles, nylon fishing nets and other plastic waste, recycled polyester requires far fewer processing stages and energy usage. It's also making sure that less plastic ends up in landfills or in nature. NA-KD Reborn features our most sustainable pieces. This product is made from certified, more sustainable materials, which means that it's better than those containing conventional materials. Products labelled "More Sustainable" on our website, are both made of a more sustainable materials and created in factories that participate in our Environmental Performance Improvement Program, using the Higg Index. They are also fulfilling our social requirements by: signing our Code of Conduct, performing a social audit and continuously improving working conditions.
