This Irish Pottery Collection encompasses the Traditional Irish fish, know as the Mackerel. What is really nice about this Collection is the hand painting. This design is brilliant for any of your artistic friends as well as it really is Art on Ceramics. This beautiful depiction of the Mackerel Fish will impress any fisherman/woman anywhere! Using white earthenware clay, these Mackerel Mugs are handmade and hand painted, fired twice here in Cork, Ireland by Charlie Mahon. Finished in a high gloss glaze, there is a luxuriousness to them that is only beautiful and you get a really lovely mug of tea or coffee from them. As these products are individually hand painted, we recommend hand washing only ( even though we put them in the dishwasher ourselves and find there is no issue with it) While our pottery is not ovenproof it is microwave friendly. Being hand-made, no piece is perfect and there may be small imperfections that do not alter its use. Also, the plate can act as a saucer for your mug.Enjoy! Our packaging are brown double walled boxes, paper, tissue and eco loose fill pellets (all of which are biodegradable). Unfortunately we use bubble wrap to wrap the pottery and brown tape to secure the boxes, these are necessary for the safe delivery of your order. What we do recommend is the reuse of the bubble wrap for other household duties.
