Goebel This espresso cup and saucer set is made from fine bone china, and is decorated with a print of Tamara De Lempicka's 'Calla Lilies II'. To preserve the brilliance of the colours, and to protect the gold plating, hand washing with a mild detergent is recommended. Known as the diva of art deco painting, Tamara De Lempicka was a true icon of the wild 20s. Her art and lifestyle of great wealth, unbridled lust and endless intrigue symbolised the enjoyable days of life in the roaring twenties. Remarkably beautiful, and a member of the Polish nobility, Tamara landed in Paris when fleeing from the Russian revolution. There she began her art studies, quickly becoming famous for her cool and sensual painting style, which soon became a symbol of the new art deco movement.
