Description
EVERGREEN - Cupressus Goldcrest Wilma with its stunning lime green evergreen hardy foliage stands out wonderfully as a centrepiece of a flower bed, in a patio container, or even grown as a low hedge in a variety of garden settings. During the colder months the tiny scale-like leaves turn a rich golden yellow colour. AMAZING SCENT - This lovely compact conifer also has a slight lemon citrus fragrance to the foliage, if brushed when passing. The advantages of this plant is its low-maintenance nature. It is a relatively easy plant to grow and care for, making it suitable for both experienced gardeners and beginners.GROWING CONDITIONS -.This plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well draining soil. Regular watering is necessary during the establishment period, but once established, it is relatively drought-tolerant. It is also relatively resistant to pests and diseases, adding to its appeal as a low-maintenance garden conifer.EVENTUAL HEIGHT - Cupressus Goldcrest is a fast growing tree with a narrow, columnar shape. In ideal growing conditions it will achieve around 40-60cm per year, ultimately reaching a height of up to five metres. Pruning can be done to shape the plant or to remove any dead or damaged branches. It is best to prune in late Winter or early Spring before new growth begins. Avoid heavy pruning, as it can disrupt the natural shape of the plant and affect its overall appearance.CARBETH PLANTS - We are a Scottish based company with over 20 years experience in horticulture.
