With all the capability of a go-anywhere bike, the entry level model in the Carrera mountain bike range, more than does the job. This new line features updated geometry designed with wider handlebars and shorter stems, making the Carrera Valour bang up to date and an exciting ride. The 2x Shimano drivetrain and trigger shifters allow for easy gear changing and the Suntour suspension will encourage you to embrace the off-road adventure ahead.

We’ve designed soft and supportive memory foam into every one of our Carrera saddles so wherever you’re going, we’ve added in more comfort. The tough puncture protection tyres will also enable you to do more, reducing the likelihood of puncture so with the new Carrera Valour you can really go for it!

Most sizes of this bike are suitable for a rear mounted child seat, unfortunately the XS & small versions are not compatible - in these instances you could opt for a pannier rack and pannier mounted child seat.

More About The All-New Carrera Valour Mountain Bike

Extra comfort

Customers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial element of their riding experience. Recognising this we’ve therefore equipped all 2020 Carrera bikes with memory foam saddles as standard - helping you spend even more time comfortably on your rides. These saddles are specific to the discipline and their shape is designed to complement that style of riding. 
Often overlooked but important contact points, we’ve developed new handlebar grips whose shape enables a steady hold with a knurled soft rubber surface for additional comfort.


Additional peace of mind. And grip.

To give you even more riding time and not have you standing idle we’re also giving you additional peace of mind by fitting ‘Carrera Puncture Protection’ tyres as standard. They’ll still have a tread pattern designed to cope with bumps, obstacles and mud but the band of Kevlar protection running around the tyre will help reduce the incidence of punctures.


Lightweight responsive frame

We’ve overhauled and updated the tube profiles so that they are chunkier and more purposeful delivering a stiffer and more capable frame that still has low overall weight at approximately 15.4kg. Even better news is the improved geometry whereby we’ve tweaked the angles of the frame giving a longer wheelbase which offers stability, coupled with shorter stems and wider handlebars which will give riders more control especially when cornering.
To smooth out the inevitable bumps that come with trail riding, there’s dependable Suntour XCE front suspension, which gives 100mm of travel and can be adjusted depending on the type of ride or surface


Efficient modern gears

To enhance the riding experience, we have also upgraded the drivetrain on the new Valour, moving from a triple chainset to a 2x (2 by). One less cog at the front means less weight and less maintenance but also makes changing gears more intuitive as fewer choices help you get the one you want quicker. And, don’t worry about the range of gears. The Valour now comes with a bigger 7-speed cassette at the back wheel, so you’ve still got those important choices at the top and bottom end of the range. Sometimes, less is definitely more!
