Special Edition 3D Printed Hollow Titanium OSPW for Shimano Expanding on the 2022 Titanium Nitride (TiN) Special Edition 3D Printed Hollow Titanium OSPW systems, we have further investigated surface treatments and finishing techniques. Acknowledging the widespread popularity of the 'oil slick' rainbow finish seen on many components today, we have achieved this distinctive colouring by opting to utilise an alumina oxide coating applied through a PVD, or physical vapour deposition, process. As a distinct and special surface finishing project, the colour may vary from one piece to another due to the PVD process.
