Since its release in 2020, the Chronoswiss SkelTec watch collection has been celebrated for its reduced, handwound movements displayed through the dial and its unmissable open balance wheel. The Skeltec Pitch Black watch from Chronoswiss is exclusive to just 50 pieces worldwide and boasts examples of the watchmaker’s unmatchable horological expertise. Its fitted movement, the Calibre C.304, is manufactured in the company’s Lucerne atelier. The hand wound engine is equipped with an open screw balance and comprises 166 individually hand assembled pieces. It also offers a 48 hour power reserve once fully wound and performs at a rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour whilst protected inside the watch’s organically shaped 51 piece case construction developed from black DLC coated stainless steel. The Chronoswiss Skeltec Pitch Black watch is also 50 meter water resistant and features central hour and minute hands coated in Super-LumiNova material and matte black parts that enable the watch to uphold its sleek, modern and masculine personality. Elements of the meticulously crafted hand wound movement can be admired through a sapphire crystal glass caseback. This strong scratch resistant material is also used for the front of the case to protect the dial from denting, dust, knocks, heat, light and moisture damage. The men’s Chronoswiss Skeltec Pitch Black Limited Edition watch measures a confident 45mm diameter and has been completed on a calfskin and textile strap that secures around the wrist comfortably with a black DLC coated stainless steel deployment clasp.
