The hand-beaded eyes of this Nazar choker are set off against beads of lapis lazuli and pearl. For this piece Cleopatra's Bling collaborates with a women's collective in the Black Sea, to support them in continuing to both practice and teach their traditional artform. It represents the "evil eye" which when worn guards against covetous or ill-meaning looks from others. The blue of the eye is traditionally associated with magic and mischief in Turkey, and holds great power. Handcrafted and individually cast. Each piece is unique, which we believe is what gives it its beauty. Each stone is natural, untreated as well as traceable. This means each stone differs in shape.
