Cornus Alba Kesselringii 3.6 Litre Potted Plant x 1
Description
A low maintenance shrub with a vigorous habit that grows well in most well drained soils. Dark red, almost black stems set it apart from other Dogwood, of which you can cut a few to add some extra dimension to floral arrangements. During spring it is covered in dark green leaves with cream-white flowers and white berries. The foliage changes to shades of red and gold before falling. Caution: Dogwood berries are harmful if eaten. Irritant to skin and eyes. Cornus can be planted in any well drained soil types in full sun. To encourage plenty of colourful stems, Dogwood will need regular pollarding in early spring, cut back all dogwood stems to 3 buds above soil level or to a permanent low framework. Apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
