Have an eye for rare plants? Why not add this trio to your garden. The evergreen shrub looks beautiful, even when not in flower. Unique pure white, lantern shaped blooms hang elegantly from long stalks surrounded by luscious deep green foliage. The thick-petalled, waxy flowers are produced over many months, continuing until the end of summer. This choice shrub makes a unique feature for a sheltered spot in acid soil where it is bound to attract plenty of admirers! Plant in fertile, well-drained and fertile soil in partial shade or sun, as the roots will appreciate being kept cool and shaded as it prefers a sheltered position behind a wall for example. In the late winter, feed with a fertilizer which is slow releasing, and add mulch around the shrub with ericaceous compost, leaf mould and pine needles.
