A pair of 19th century stoneware plates with a Lion & Unicorn back stamp - possibly Hicks & Meigh. These are really lovely & very decorative plates with a scalloped edge & fancy handles. They are hand painted with a very pretty butterfly design on a white ground, this is surrounded by a Wedgwood blue colour & finished in yellow. Both plated have heavy crazing & some discolouration. One has a chip to the handle & a chip to the blue glaze at the bottom of the plate. Diameter: 10 (25 cm) at wides point. This item will be carefully packed for safe shipping.
