While you can use the 360° rotation to spin the seat to the forward-facing position when they reach 76cm (usually around 15 months old), all the car seat testing agencies, experts, manufacturers and retailers recommend keeping them rear-facing for as long as possible. Please note: this car seat requires the separate purchase of an ISOFIX base. It is not functional without a base. It is compatible with the Cybex Base Z2 and Cybex Base T ISOFIX bases. The rotation isn t just from going forward facing from rearward, it s also a super handy function for you when you get them in and out of the car. Simply pull the handle with one hand and then spin the base or base and seat, so that it faces you and pop them on. No more awkward contortions in tight parking spaces and the visual correct-fitting indicators give you peace of mind to go with your ease of use!The seat sports Cybex s L.S.P. system, which stands for Linear Side-impact Protection. These flip-out wings are designed to absorb the forces of an impact and spread them through the shell of the seat and away from your little one. Giving them extra head protection and comfort is the deep headrest which can be easily adjusted to one of 12 positions, growing with your child. There are even more features to keep them comfy though. You have the one-hand recline, which lets you angle the seat into one of 5 positions and unlike many seats on the market, you can recline it in all of the positions whichever way the seat is facing and you can even rotate the seat while it s reclined. The seat has ventilation panels to ensure a cool kid because hot kids are often naggy kids and if you choose the optional Plus fabrics, you ll get premium, breathable mesh fabrics and the extra detailing that is the signature of Cybex s Plus range. Another premium feature of the Plus range is the large integrated UPF50+ sun canopy, perfect for blocking the sun s harmful rays or creating a cool shady spot for a snooze. We ll end by talking about a couple more features that make life easier for you. A simple yet brilliant little feature is the magnetic buckle retainers. Strategically placed magnets allow you to hold the two pieces of the buckle out of the way when you are getting them in and out of the car. No more digging around underneath them trying to get the buckles and straps out!
