The base lets the seat be rotated 360° allowing you to turn the seat towards the car door making getting your little bundle of joy in and out of the seat far easier. One of the great improvements with Sirona Z2 and Base Z2 is that you can now turn the seat while it is in any of the recline positions! Changing the seat from rear-facing to forward-facing only takes one hand to do too! The older Base Z base doesn't have all the functionality of the Z2, for example, the seat must be set to the upright position to rotate the seat on the Base Z. The i-Size regulations require you to keep your child in a rear-facing car seat until they're at least 15 months old and Cybex's Driving Direction Control (D.D.C.) prevents you from turning the seat before they reach 76cm, which is the minimum height requirement. Keeping your child rear-facing until they are at least 15 months old (but ideally older) reduces the risk of injury from a head-on collision by more than 80% compared to forward-facing and the Sirona Z2 i-Size allows you to keep your little one safer by keeping them forward-facing until they are 105cm (around 4 years old on average and a max of 18kg). If you do decide to move the seat to the forward-facing position there is no need to think that safety hasn't been considered - the Cybex ER-Tech (energy reduction technology) is designed to reduce the forces on the neck of a child by 20% compared to other existing 5-point harness systems. For side-on collisions, the integrated Linear Side Impact Protection (SIP) reduces force by around 25% thanks to the energy-absorbing shell. Even with all of these amazing safety features you can be sure your little one will be comfortable too with the 12-position adjustable height headrest. Cybex have also improved the one-hand recline function, making it easier to operate and they have also added extra recline positions, with 5 recline positions rear-facing and 5 forward-facing. Another improved feature that brings both safety and comfort is the included newborn insert. This keeps very young babies safe and snugly! Cybex haven't forgotten the aesthetics either; there is a choice of 2 types of fabrics - standard and Plus. They both have a hard-wearing, two-tone twill-effect fabric around the shell but the Plus also has hard-wearing fabrics on the inside of the seat whereas they are softer on the standard version. There are also magnetic belt holders on the edge of the seat, making it easier to take your little one out of the seat.For further technical information or advice, please email your enquiry to our Child Seat experts - childcarseats@demon-tweeks.com or telephone the team direct on +44 (0)1978 667903 #videocontainer { position: relative; overflow: hidden; width: 100%; padding-top: 56.25%; margin-bottom: 20px; } #videocontainer>iframe { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; bottom: 0; right: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; }
