Description
This coconut mulch has been pressed into a block. It's ideal for the garden, planters and as an orchid substrate. The coconut mulch is made up of individual chips of coconut shell and is sometimes known as coconut husk chips. The individual chips have been pressed into the shape of a 5kg block. The coconut mulch is highly absorbent and is, therefore, able to store a large amount of liquid. The advantage of coconut soil is that the plant's root ball doesn't harden when watered as it does with conventional soil. This lets more oxygen reach the roots, allowing for better root aeration. Other positive features of coconut mulch include its structural stability and mould resistance. In addition, the mulch is particularly environmentally friendly, as it's made entirely from renewable raw materials. First, unpack the square block of coconut much, and place it in a bucket or wheelbarrow. Now add about 25 to 30 L of water. After about 30 minutes, the coconut soil will have swollen and can then be mixed by hand.
