On the night of 16th May 1943, 19 Lancaster bombers took off on a vital raid deep into the heart of Nazi Germany which required them to an exact height of 60 feet during the bombing run – and you’ll be able to follow the route used to train them with an incredible 20-minute helicopter flight. You’ll soar over the Peak District, taking in breathtaking aerial views of Chatsworth House, the Mam Tor rock formations and Derwent Valley. What’s more, you’ll even receive a delicious cream tea once you’re back on solid ground.
