Dear Denier's luxuriously soft organic cotton Hannah Birch Leaf sock is manufactured using an antique San Giacomo knitting machine in a family owned Italian zero-waste factory. The beautiful design features a birch leaf pattern and includes a Dear Denier logo on the sole. Features Include: Reinforced heel and toes. Comfortable cuff. Fine handlinked toes. Dear Denier's mission is to overcome the environmental challenges of traditional hosiery production, and make the most sustainable products possible without compromising on the quality. Dear Denier only use recycled nylon, recycled elastane and sustainable materials. As well as using renewable energy, their factories have zero-waste production and effective management of water and energy consumption. They use no heavy metals or dangerous chemicals in the dyeing process- cleaning polluting elements from the air and water and reusing the water. All packaging is 100% recycled and recyclable. Although Dear Denier production is C02 neutral there are uncontrollable emissions during the supply chain, due to this they have chosen to collaborate with 'Chooose', which invests in projects that minimise CO2 emissions significantly on the planet. Each product sold off-sets 200 grams of CO2. This is more than enough to ensure the brand is more than carbon neutral. Materials: 85% organic cotton (GOTS), 12% polyamide, 3% elastane. GOTS is a textile production certification that limits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes and other chemical inputs during the production process of textiles. To obtain the GOTS “organic” label, a product must: Contain at least 95% organic fibre. Not be treated with bleach, formaldehyde or any other toxic substances. Made in Italy. Care instructions: Machine wash cold max 30 degrees, mild process, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron, do not dry clean.
