This thermal jacket is a vital part of any mountain biker’s winter wardrobe. Insulating, water-resistant and windproof, the dhb Trail Softshell Jacket is a versatile option that lets you stay out when the weather starts to turn. A breathable, windproof membrane cuts out the wind shill, and the thermal grid fleece backing provides lightweight warmth, whilst feeling soft against the skin. The jacket is finished with a DWR treated fabric which will keep you dry and protected in light rain showers. There’s also a YKK Aquaguard™ front zipper, to shut out the worst of the weather. For added protection, dhb have included an adjustable hood with a stiffened hood peak that fits over your helmet. The fit has been carefully considered to offer both on the off the bike comfort and functionality. Semi-tailored, this jacket is loose enough to be comfortable when riding, but not so loose that it get gets in the way, or slows you down. dhb have also chosen a fabric that has some stretch to it to allow freedom of movement. The hem is slightly dropped at the back for some added protection, and it’s adjustable to allow you to customize the fit as necessary. The cuffs are shaped for coverage, and internal cuff gaiters are comfortable, whilst also trapping in warmth. The finishing touches of this jacket ensure that the only thing you need to worry about is the trail ahead. For ride essentials, there are 2 spacious pockets, which sit high to ensure they are accessible above a hydration pack hip belt. They’ve also got glove-friendly zip pullers for easy access. The pocket linings are mesh, which means they also double up as ventilation options for higher intensity efforts. Finally, dhb have added some additional reflective logos and trims to provide visibility in low light conditions.
