Dianthus Plumarius Sweetness Mixed 1 Seed Packet
Description
This fantastic variety is the perfect way to add a pop of colour to your perennial borders and cottage gardens. Produces stunning, scented, pink blooms that will appear in the first year if sown early in February. Easy to grow and maintain, this particular variety is perfectly suited for the UK climate, just simply trim spent blooms with shears at the end of the season. Sow February to April. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 18-20ºC (64-68ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart. Product Specifications: . Position in: full sun .
