Description
RJ45 Network cables have various uses within both the home and office environments. Ranging from simply connecting one device to another or wiring up a network within a building. Generally the central point for the network would be a server along with hubs/switches and patch panels required for the network. Shorter length cables are used for local connections between the server hubs/switches and patch panels. Bulk cable is then run throughout the building through trunking to the back of various network points. A network cable will then be used to provide a connection between the network point and a PC.

RJ45 Cat 6 cables are available in a choice of ten colours 0.3M to 50M lengths and transfer data at the speed of up to 1 Gigabits per second (Gbps) - 250mhz frequency.

- UTP: Short for Unshielded Twisted Pair. The inner cable consists of two unshielded wires twisted around each other our CAT 6 cables are 8 core with 4 pairs of twisted wire
- 24AWG: Short for Average Wire Gauge. The relates to the thickness of the wires within the cable the thicker the wires the more room for data to run through the cable. NOTE The thicker the wire the lower the AWG figure
- LSZH (LS0H): Short for low smoke zero halogen
- The low smoke aspect means in the event of a fire the cables will melt rather than burn. A clear smoke is emitted instead of a very dangerous black smoke
- The Zero Halogen aspect means most network cables are made with plastic containing Chlorine. In a fire a halogen-containing plastic material releases a poisonous gas that forms hydrochloric acid when it comes in contact with water. Chlorine -free cables do not produce dangerous gases or acids. This specification of cable would be required for environments such as Schools Government buildings MOD etc
- Stranded: Stranded conductor form features multiple strands (7 strands within each core) of cable making the overall cable more flexible and easier to bend
- Flush Moulded Boot: Plastic is physically injected into the end of the connector ensuring both the boot and connector are the same size. Creating easier access for multiple network cables to be connected into a patch panel. Our design of boot makes it virtually impossible to break the RJ45 connector from the cable
- Snagless: Snagless boots offer the clip protection from other cables getting caught underneath the clip and breaking it off. Our snagless design features wings rather than a hood which encases the clip. The advantage of our design means you still have easy access to the clip
- Strain Relief: A flexible moulded panel at the end of the boot protects the internal wires from any undue stresses or strains
- Labelled cables are available (3 lines 13 characters per line)
