The Ashleigh 3ft divan set is part of Dura Beds Backcare Collection and combines its deep divan base and firm mattress that consists of open coil springs and a high-loft hand tufted damask cover.. A quality damask fabric is used to upholster the Ashleigh mattress and benefits from a hand tufted finish; a process that ensures the layers of hypo-allergenic fillings are held securely in place. The foundation of the Ashleigh mattress is made up of a strong and sturdy 12.5 gauge open coil spring system, one of the firmest wires used in mattress manufacturing in the UK today. Open coil interiors are robust, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To add additional support to the border, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the perimeter of the spring unit. This reinforces the spring system and allows you to sleep right up to the edge without the feeling of rolling off. The base is available with or without drawers and a choice of a solid top divan for a firmer support or a sprung edge base for a softer feel.
