Description
Looking for a reliable inner tube that won't weigh you down? Look no further than the Eclipse Off Road! This ultra lightweight tube is durable and fit for tires 27. 5 or 29 and 50-65mm. It comes with a RVC removable valve core, making it easy to change if need be. Plus, it's recyclable so you can feel good about using it. And at only 69g, you won't even notice it's there! TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) has been around since 1960, developed by Du Pont and BF Goodrich (today, Lubrizol). TPU has superior properties, extremely high wear resistance and resilience, durability, low temperature flexibility, superior tear strength, high elasticity. The tube brand Eclipse has been founded in 2011 in Switzerland as the first commercial inner tube using TPU as material. Eclipse has developed proprietary technologies for joining the tube ends, as well as the mechanical assembly of a valve stem to the tube material. Both details are patented and have been defeated in lawsuits against BASF and Schwalbe and can therefore not be used by any competitor. TPU tubes are extremely light, yet highly puncture resistant. The low rolling resistance offers high performance and speed. TPU retains its shape and ensures the best riding characteristics on all bicycles, even at low air pressures, and its dimensional stability makes it easy to install. Tubeless tires are nowadays available for many categories. However, some cyclists prefer using a tube over tubeless as their preferred option. Also, certain wheel types and tyres are not suitable for tubeless setups, so in this case Eclipse TPU inner tubes are a high-end alternative to traditional butyl bicycle tubes. The technical standards are on par with tubeless systems. Eclipse TPU inner tubes are 100% recyclable, as they are completely made of a thermoplastic polyurethane and a metal valve stem. This makes the recycling process easy applicable; the recycled tubes enter a second life cycle as sealing or insulation material. TPU is a
