Introducing the Bulletproof HMS Screw FG eCO, edelrid’s first-ever non-anodised carabiner. The main purpose of anodisation is to add colour. However, the process involves toxic chemicals, and the waste-water from the dyeing process is poisonous. The process has no effect on strength and only a negligible increase in corrosion resistance. As strong and secure as the original, it is perfect for the eco-conscious climber. A steel insert in the apex prevents premature wear, helping to maximise the lifespan of the carabiner. An excellent choice for belaying, the spring bar holds it in place to prevent cross-loading.
