Description
The egg Shell i-Size infant carrier is available in all the fabric colours of the egg2 collection, meaning you can create a full coordinating travel system for your egg stroller that will provide safety and comfort for your little one, and reassurance and convenience for you. Suitable for rear-facing travel from 40 to 80cm (birth to approx 15 months), the egg Shell car seat meets the most up-to-date i-Size safety testing standards and features an enhanced side-impact protection shell, as well as a memory foam headrest giving optimum cushioning for baby in the event of a collision. In addition, the egg Shell has enhanced inner-body padding (for use from newborn), which provides key support for both the side and upper leg muscles on car journeys. As your little one’s muscles strengthen, develop and grow, these key protective cushions can be removed, enabling baby to use the seat up to a maximum weight of 13kg. The egg Shell can be installed in the car using the adult seatbelt or the egg Shell ISOFIX Base (sold separately). It can be easily and securely attached to your egg or egg2 pushchair chassis with the use of Multi Car Seat Adaptors (sold separately) and cleverly uses the multi-position handle of the car seat to lock it in position. Features i-Size safety Option of belted installation when needed 3-point safety harness with push-button release, adjustment and single-pull securing Matching shoulder and crotch pads included, providing essential padding when braking Retractable four-position canopy for shade, stitched from the same fabric as the rest of the seat and with egg’s signature curve Three handle positions, the third acting as a stabiliser to prevent rocking in the car seat when it is placed on a flat surface such as the floor The current safety guidelines advise that newborn babies are not left in their car seat for longer than 30 minutes. For babies 2-6 months, no longer than 2 hours. It is also safer to keep your child rear-facing for as long as possible – a minimum of 15 months but ideally 4 years. A child should never be in their harnessed car seat with a thick winter coat or snowsuit on.
