Mips (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) The Xtract also benefits from Mips. The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head. Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head. Dialled in comfort A comfortable lid is one you'll enjoy wearing. And the Xtract Helmet II ensures you remain comfortable thanks to a fast-wicking and quick-drying pad system. Pads are removable too, letting you regularly wash your pads and enjoy an as-new feel whenever you ride. Large vents are also present and correct, regulating temperature and minimising sweat and heat build-up. The micro-adjustable fit system lets you get the fit safe and secure, with plenty of adjustment available via a simple twist of a dial.
