Description
The design takes inspiration from classic painters’ trousers, including the features of sturdy canvas, slit pockets, and volume for mobility. Contemporary elements are added with an oversized and tapered silhouette, taut textile, darts, and a cropped length. Ethical and refined elements are imparted using the finest 100% organic cotton fabrics. The Iron Grey colour is a traditional Japanese mineral dyeing technique, which was meticulously carried out by skilled artisans at an innovative studio in Tokyo. The dyestuff is upcycled iron powder from the famed shipbuilding district in Hiroshima which evokes the authentic colour and texture of iron itself. The liner is crafted from a comfortable and premium 100% organic cotton typewriter textile from a renowned Japanese textile manufacturer. This iron powder dyeing is done by hand by dyeing artisans, so there is some unevenness in the colour. Due to the nature of the dye, changes in texture and colour fading due to friction will occur over time. The natural changes in colour and texture are to be enjoyed, similar to indigo-dyed denim garments. To keep the original colour and texture as long as possible and prevent the pigment from peeling off, please dry-clean the fabric inside out with a weak petroleum-based dry-cleaner and avoid tumbler-drying (hang-drying is recommended). Wear and store in dry conditions as prolonged exposure to moisture and high temperatures may cause discolouration, colour migration and odours. OUTER FABRIC: 100% COTTON LINING FABRIC: 100% COTTON EXTERIOR DYE: PIGMENT DYE ・WASH INSIDE OUT IN A LAUNDRY NET TO PREVENT FADING OF DYE DUE TO FRICTION. ・DO NOT TUMBLE DRY (HANGING TO DRY IS RECCOMENDED). ・USE PRESSING CLOTH WHEN IRONING. ・WASHING IN WATER MAY CAUSE LOSS OF COLOUR AND SHAPE.
