I had just one piece of this beautiful faded roses antique quilt & wanted to use it to make something delicious. This square pillow is the result. The pillow has a fully lined front panel & an envelope closure for easy laundering when it becomes necessary. The textiles are genuinely antique & vintage. The quilted piece shows just the most appealing fading & softening of the colours. The French torchons were unused old stock so just needed a good soak. They have no damage. You can just see other pillows in the first picture - a pair made using antique hand stitched quilt panels married with French torchons just like this one. They look beautiful together. MEASUREMENTS... This pillow uses an 16" x 16" cushion pad which is included. It is a high quality duck feather one for perfect enduring luxuriant plumpability. A few words about the cushions that I create... Each uses only vintage & antique textiles & most of these are French because in my eyes they're the most delicious of all. Most of my cushions are one offs since these textiles are a precious resource in increasingly short supply. I pride myself on my workmanship so that you will have many years of enjoyment from my textile projects. The fronts are fully lined & my cushion seams are carefully finished & very strong. Generally you will find that they launder beautifully unless I let you know that a particular fabric isn't suited to ordinary cleaning. I know that you can buy far cheaper cushions. & that's okay because nobody can have too many & we all spend according to our circumstances. My cushions may sometimes seem a little expensive but the materials used are very costly for me to source & this accounts for the majority of the price charged. Finally... I take incredible joy from sewing & there's happiness & love in everything I create. I hope a little of that joy transfers to you when you use my creations. HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING WHERE PRACTICAL.
