This is an exquisite large vintage Aubusson style hand stitched petit point & needlepoint cushion. A central motif of roses & other blooms are stitched in petit point in delicious shades to create a timeless elegance - imagine how many hours it would take to stitch. It's trimmed with passementerie braid & the cushion has the most gorgeous silky tasseled trim The reverse is soft velvet with a metal zip closure & it is complete with brand new feather insert. At the bottom there are some missing tassels but, as you can see, this really doesn't detract. The petit point & needlepoint panel has been beautifully hand stitched using wools & remains in overall good condition. I can't find any marks - just some pulls to the stitching. You can see another very similar cushion behind this one in my photos. Beautiful cushions with a very English country house appeal. THE MEASUREMENTS...
