Antique Islamic Mamluk Revival brass bowl produce in Egypt Or Syria during the mid 19th century. The brass bowl of deep rounded form decorated with inscriptions separated by six roundels each containing cast image of bird & a hound & extensively decorated with a concentric bands of calligraphy, the lower body with bands of geometric patterns. Measures 13.5cm. diameter 7.5cm high. Provenance: French art market 1960. Sign of age related wear & oxidation to the brass. IMPORTANT! N.B. - ITEMS ARE SOLD AS SEEN.
