Handmade red terracotta vase, glazed by hand. This vase has a smokey rosewood glaze on the outside, & its interior is kept bare to reveal the red sandstone-coloured clay. Great for a short bunch of flowers or ikebana arrangement. This collection of ceramics is an exploration of soft curves paired with glazes that resemble burnt wood & smoke. I am interested in experimenting with clay blends of different plasticity & surface, revealing the visual properties of the clay material in each form.
