Hornby designed for Fyne Ladye who supplied furniture to luxury stores such as Heals of London & Harrods. Many of his pieces were unmarked but their simple & unique designs make them easily recognisable. Many of Hornby's pieces were made predominantly in solid Afromosia (African Teak) which is in contrast to much of the mass-produced mid century furniture which generally uses Afromosia for trims & frames. A sure sign of quality. The unique features of this table include the elegant concave ends & slim & sophisticated tapered legs. There is an undershelf for magazines & books adding function to the beautiful form. A classic mid century modern British coffee table with many more years of enjoyment ahead of it.
