Lucky to find another very early piece I admit that mid-1800s ironstone makes my heart go pitter-patter! Here is a Jwilliam Adams Vintage shape (just the name of the pattern, this is mid 1800s) sauce or gravy boat, potted ca,. mid 1850s. There is a faintmark, but pooled over & hard to see. Vintage is a great early pattern that you don't often see. This saucier is high & narrow with beautiful embossing on the sides. & below the handle. I see no issues with this gorgeous early piece. Hard to find shape with a well known maker. As you can see, the embossed details are crisp & high, another plus. Measures 8-1/2 long, about 5-1/2 high at the handle. It is quite narrow & would work wonderfully on a shelf for display. See for yourself!
