This hand-knotted rug was made in Afghanistan in the 70s for export only. It is a 100% high-quality wool pile on the wool foundation which feels comfortable to walk on & will not wear out easily. These unique geometrical patterns are very rare for local afghan carpets. Some of the patterns have been inspired by Caucasian rugs & the 18th-century French Savonnerie design elements. It is a beautiful rug & will look perfect in any room of your home by bringing in a pop of color.
