Description

This 'Totally Tubular' hanging wall art has dramatic & touchable textures, room-enhancing colors, & charming character to grace your space. The kiln-dried, solid wood frame is as much of an art piece as the centerpiece. Its design allows horizontal or vertical mounting. Both interior edges (outer & inner) have 'live edges.' It was treated to the Shou Sugi Ban burning process & finished to accentuate the grain's amazing, detailed colors, depth, & texture. Finally, it was coated with Polycrylic water-based clearcoat that highlights & protects the wood's natural tones. Zoom in on the close-up images to get an idea of the grain's textures & depth (you will be impressed in-person since pictures don't do it justice). The frame is 3 wide & just under 4 deep overall from the wall. The modern, flowing centerpiece came to life from aluminum tubing. Each tube was hand-cut, hand-formed, & hand-polished. I glued them all into the bottom one day, then it got quite tricky lining all 9 tubes up & all 4 frame pieces (with 2 dowels angled on each mitered corner) & gluing it all at once. Straight cuts or no dowels wouldn't have required everything being assembled at once like this, but... I'm not into easy. I'm into the highest quality (& strength) that I can offer. To allow enjoyment of this piece around the clock & add to its 'floating' characteristics, an LED accent kit was added. The inward glow accents the Barred centerpiece, & also glows outward, around the frame. It is battery-powered so no cords are seen (you can add a USB power cord if you prefer). The LED's have multiple functions, colors, & timers, & you control the light show via an included 44-button remote or Bluetooth app. Each art piece is signed, dated, & numbered for authenticity. Colors & textures vary per item since each is handmade, one-of-a-kind, & wood itself varies by nature.
