Vintage 1960 David Douglas & company hurricane candle holder. The blown glass hurricane has a gold medallion scroll design on both sides. The base is black Accalac plastic withone gold & one brass candle holder. They are not identical, the design on the glass is the same but not at the same height Also the metal holding the candle is a different color: one more gold the other more brass color The gold one glass locks in, the brass one doesn't. Glass in one of the hurricane lamps is secured by clamps whilst other does not have any. There seems to never have had any as inside plastic is smooth & does not seem to be missing parts. Regardless these stunning peices will look lovely in any mid century style decor. Measurements: 5 1/2'' diameter x 9'' Condition: This piece is in very good vintage condition. Minimal signs of wear.
